In celebration of credit unions
Oct 15th, 2020 | By FCT
Did you know that the first official credit union started in Germany in 1849 to provide low-income workers with an alternative to loan sharks?
The theme for this year’s International Credit Union Day is “Inspiring hope for a global community”. It dovetails really well with their overarching objective of providing financial empowerment to “people all over the world through financial services, education and support”. A goal that is especially important right now when so many local businesses are suffering because of the global pandemic.
At FCT, we understand this mandate and the integral part that credit unions play in supporting local businesses. In fact, we work with over 95% of Canadian credit unions and are invested in providing exceptional solutions and services that benefit all members.
We’re invested in helping credit unions put their members first by providing:
- Smoother, more hassle-free closings
- Home Protection Plan offered to all to all credit unions members
- Regional support from employees who are themselves, members of the credit unions
- Extra time to focus on member engagement while we take care of the mortgage transaction process
- Faster appraisals through industry-leading solutions
Credit unions work tirelessly on behalf of their members and we are committed to working hard for them.
Happy International Credit Union Day!
