eID-Me is a leading ID verification smartphone app by Bluink that virtually verifies and authenticates identity documents.
No, your client can only access eID-Me on a mobile phone.
You can choose to request ID verification with or without a title insurance policy order for more flexibility.
We accept the following documents to process the verification:
Passport (including foreign), driver's license, photo ID card, or service card issued anywhere in Canada
Secondary government-issued identity documents include a Canadian permanent resident card, secure certificate of Indian status, FAST and NEXUS cards.
With an eID-Me ID secured in a digital wallet, your client will always know who is asking for their information. This helps them stay informed during transactions. We do not release any information unless your client approves the release.
If your client agrees to share information, it will be sent to the third party through the eID-Me identity service. The eID-Me app keeps a secure record of the transaction on your client’s smartphone for your client’s convenience. This record can be deleted or turned off whenever needed. The information your client releases to these third parties will be governed by their privacy policies and terms.
Invoices for Client ID Verification requests are issued by FCT and available to download from the ID verification portal. The fees will automatically be added to your FCT account statement.
