Who can order Residential & Commercial Title Insurance? Accordion Item Title

Law clerks, legal assistants, and conveyancers can order residential and commercial title insurance once they have obtained their FCT credentials.

If access to all current and historical files for a lawyer or notary is required, the individual must first be assigned as a delegate.

Who requires delegation access?

Delegation access is required for law clerks, legal assistants, and conveyancers to access products and services on behalf of a lawyer or notary, including:

  • Lender Lawyer Connect (LLC)
  • Payout Services
  • EasyFund
  • Client ID Verification

How do I set up delegation?

A lawyer or notary must complete delegation set-up through their online FCT profile.

To set up delegation:

  1. Login [link] to the FCT portal
  2. Navigate to Profile
  3. Select Delegated Authority from the left-hand menu
  4. Add or manage delegate access

Alternatively, lawyers and notaries may contact FCT by phone or email to assign a delegate.

How do I manage notification preferences?

Notification preferences can be customized through your FCT profile.

To update notification settings:

  1. Login [link] to the FCT portal
  2. Navigate to Profile
  3. Select Notification Preferences from the left-hand menu
