Caring for the community: it’s how we’re invested

We’re invested in the communities where we live and work in partnership with organizations focused on combatting youth homeless and supporting at risk youth. We’re actively involved in fundraising and volunteering activities within our local communities.

Community investment at FCT

FCT’s Community Investment (CI) program is centred on making a meaningful difference in the communities where we live and work. Our approach is guided by two key pillars:

  • Combatting youth homelessness as a company-wide commitment
  • Building strong community relationships that support our community investment strategy

These pillars shape how we engage, give back, and support youth-focused initiatives across Canada.

CI program

Volunteering at FCT

FCT’s volunteer day program gives employees the opportunity to take part in two paid volunteer days (15 hours) each calendar year. The program is designed to encourage employees to support causes that matter to them by volunteering with a charity of their choice.

FCT also works closely with registered community organizations across Canada that support vulnerable youth and help address youth homelessness.

Our enterprise-wide community giving initiatives

Each year, FCT brings employees together through enterprise-wide initiatives that support vulnerable youth and strengthen communities nationwide.

William G. Davis Scholarship winner Menna Gebril
The Honourable William G. Davis Scholarship

Awarded annually, the William G. Davis Scholarship provides post-secondary financial support to a youth in need. The scholarship helps reduce financial barriers to education and supports students as they work toward long-term stability and opportunity through learning.

Hockey Helps the Homeless

Hockey Helps the Homeless is a national fundraising campaign and hockey tournament that supports organizations working to prevent and reduce youth homelessness across Canada. FCT employees participate through fundraising and team involvement in support of local community programs.

Kits for cause
Kits for a Cause

Kits for a Cause supports vulnerable youth by assembling and distributing winter-warmth and essential-needs kits in partnership with community organizations. Employees volunteer their time to help prepare kits that provide practical, everyday support.

Annual food drive

FCT’s annual food drive supports vulnerable youth by collecting and distributing food donations through community partners across the country. This initiative helps address food insecurity at a local level while supporting organizations that provide front-line services.
