FCT Celebrates 10 years of Growth and Contributions in Oakville

OAKVILLE, ONTARIO, December 17, 2012 – FCT (First Canadian Title) celebrated its 10th anniversary in Oakville by reflecting on 10 years of corporate growth and contributions in the Oakville Community. FCT Executive Vice‐President and Chief Operating Officer, Michael LeBlanc was joined by FCT Chief Executive Officer, Tom Grifferty and local Councillors, Dave Gittings and Keith Bird to mark the occasion.

“In 2002 when we moved into our Oakville Home Office, we had just issued our one millionth policy. Ten years later we issued our 10 millionth policy. Oakville has been a very good home to FCT and we have a tradition of giving back to the communities in which we live and work,” said Michael LeBlanc. “FCT and our employees give back by supporting local initiatives, charities and organizations through fundraising and volunteering. I am very proud of our employees and our record of local support and charitable giving in Oakville.”

In the past decade, FCT and its employees in Oakville have raised funds for many charitable causes including Habitat for Humanity, United Way, Halton Women’s Shelter, Community Living Oakville, the Red Cross and local scholarships. In 2012, FCT is supporting Habitat for Humanity, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Halton, Harry Barrett & Sheridan scholarships and Food for Life. FCT is also a Partner for Life with the Red Cross and FCT employees have donated 80 blood units in 2012.

“I am delighted to be here to celebrate ten years of success in Oakville. I want to thank Councillors Gittings and Bird, and all FCT’s Home Office employees for contributing to our success,” said Tom Grifferty, FCT CEO. “FCT continues to be the industry leader in title insurance working from a strong foundation at our Oakville Home Office.”

December 16th marked the 10th anniversary of FCT’s move to Oakville into its office building at 2235 Sheridan Garden Drive. In celebration of this milestone and in keeping with its recent brand refresh, FCT Home Office has undergone a “makeover” to update its interior to reflect the modern, new brand colours (blues and greens), as well as, a change of signage to emphasize the new brand name ‐ FCT.
