Changes on residential private lender transactions

Effective April 25, 2022, FCT’s Extended Super Priority Liens endorsement will automatically be included on all residential private lender transactions at no extra cost.
Over the last few years, we’ve seen a dramatic increase in fraud specifically related to private lender real estate transactions. FCT’s knowledgeable underwriting team continues to review these transactions closely to ensure all parties are protected.
Effective April 25, 2022, the private lender fee on residential title insurance transactions will increase to $400.00. FCT pre-approved private lenders will only see their fee increased by $50.00. These changes will not affect private lender commercial transactions.
