1. Focus on Instagram Stories
Ephemeral content (short-lived, impermanent content) has gained a lot of attention through the use of Instagram Stories. These stories will last for 24 hours and will keep your audience coming back for more, and hopefully increase engagement with your brand. According to Sprout Social, “The average time spent on Instagram per day grew to 28 minutes since the launch of Stories. That’s roughly 7 to 13 minutes longer than time ranges collected just before Stories.”
Will you be attending an industry conference this year? Post some videos or pictures on your story to let your followers know what’s happening throughout the conference.

Live streaming will continue to rise in popularity
2017 was a big year for live streaming. Stepping into 2018, live streaming has become an expectation on social media for many brands. But what content should you live stream?
Was there a new rule or regulation that’s just been announced? Pick up your mobile device, turn on your live video, be the subject matter expert and let your followers know what’s happening in the industry. Your followers want to hear from you as a trusted resource.  About 80 percent of consumers would rather watch a live video from a brand than read a blog. So give it a try!

Engage with your audience on a personal level
